Wellington Stadium welcomes Hnry as naming rights partner

January 28, 2026

Wellington Regional Stadium Trust has announced a new five-year naming rights partnership with Wellington-founded accountancy service Hnry, with the venue to become Hnry Stadium from 1 March 2026.

The partnership sees one of Wellington’s fastest-growing businesses become just the third naming rights sponsor in the Stadium’s 26-year history. Founded in the capital eight years ago, Hnry has grown into one of New Zealand’s largest accountancy services for sole traders, expanding into Australia in 2020 and launching in the UK in 2025.

Wellington Regional Stadium Trust CEO Warrick Dent says the partnership reflects the Stadium’s role as a community asset and its connection to Wellington businesses and people.

“Having a Wellington-born-and-bred business as our naming rights sponsor aligns very well with our strategic purpose of ‘providing unforgettable experiences that connect our communities’. Given how that parallels Hnry’s own goals, we see this partnership becoming incredibly successful.

“In the past 25 years, we have welcomed more than 12 million patrons through our gates. That level of support reflects the role the Stadium plays in Wellington’s cultural, sporting and community life. We work hard to consistently deliver experiences that bring people together, and we look forward to the next era working with Hnry to amplify our business even further,” he says.

Hnry co-founder and CEO James Fuller says the partnership is a reflection of the company’s long-standing connection to Wellington.

“Hnry is a Wellington-born business, and through the city’s unwavering support, we’ve been able to grow from a local start-up to now operating in three countries. Wellington has remained central to who we are throughout the journey, and this partnership signifies our long-term commitment to the city, economy and community,” he says.

“We love this city, and we genuinely believe in its future. Taking on the naming rights for Hnry Stadium is our way of backing Wellington and contributing to something that brings people from all walks of life together as the city grows and evolves. It reflects a long-term commitment to the place where Hnry began, and where we continue to invest, hire and build.”

The agreement comes as Wellington Regional Stadium Trust continues to build on more than 25 years of operating and maintaining the Stadium as one of New Zealand’s leading multi-purpose venues, hosting major sporting fixtures, concerts, cultural events and community experiences.

As the Stadium enters a new chapter as Hnry Stadium, there is a real sense of excitement about what comes next. Partnerships like this are about more than a name on a building - they reflect a shared belief in Wellington, its people and the role the Stadium plays in bringing communities together. We also want to acknowledge and sincerely thank Sky for six years of support and partnership. Their contribution has been an important part of the Stadium’s story, and we wish the Sky team all the very best for the future.
